Cuvee Heritage 1757 Cotes du Bourg, 2016, Chateau Gros Moulin

Meet the malbec from your native hump.

The colour is a deep ruby red.

The scents are wonderful and take you straight to the forest: berries, a wonderful smell of blueberries, blackberries, blackcurrants, wild strawberries, and a little later, ripe plum and cherry. Then the essential notes are revealed: eucalyptus, spruce, resin and the smell of a new sauna. There are also undergrowth and forest floor, and then the sweet spices of vanilla and cloves. The scent develops for quite a while, with fresh rosemary. What a wonderful aroma!

On the palate, the wine does not disappoint. The tannins are well suited to the Bordeaux terroir, the freshness and minerality go well with the softness of the wine. A pleasure.

The Heritage 2016 will be a great pairing with grilled meats, and is very nice with steaks (t-bone ...), roasts and cheeses.
